The greatest Joy

The greatest joy I receive from my racing is being able to share it with family and friends. I said I'd never go to Xterra Worlds in Hawaii without my husband after the first year when I went alone..and I haven't. It means so much to have him there, even though it is so tough for him. (and our budget) He gets so nervous for me and worries when I'm out of sight, fretting for my return. I love him so much.

And now, I get double joy this year going back to Worlds when my sister and her husband will be joining us. It brings tears to my eyes. I 'm so excited to go and it's only the end of August. I think that my training will go very well with these positive thoughts in my head for the next 8 weeks.

Along the way- 4 weeks from now, there is the National Xterra Championships in Ogden, UT. I'll be racing on a new course, for me, but have confidence in my 'intel'. I've learned from people with previous experience and maps, and weather.com...

And the greatest joy- is that my husband will be sharing the experience with me. We cobbled away enough frequent flyer miles to get him there. Now , how to get the bike out there without buying a whole, 'nother ticket! Maybe I should take up golf, or archery. Well, I shouldn't get started on the airline tirade, I'm in a joyful mood right now.

Happy Autumn..it's getting to be my most favorite time of year.
